The win marks Wazdan’s second consecutive EiGE Awards victory, following its Best Mobile Gaming Provider title at the 2025 edition.

Leadership recognition has become a competitive fixture on the European iGaming awards circuit, with programmes such as the EiGE Awards drawing nominations from across the supplier community. Wazdan announced that its Chief Commercial Officer, Andrzej Hyla, had been named iGaming Leader of the Year at the EiGE Awards 2026.

Hyla recognised for commercial leadership and market expansion

The European iGaming Excellence Awards (EiGE Awards) are an annual HIPTHER programme that runs alongside the Warsaw Summit. The 2026 ceremony took place on the evening of 27 October at Podwale Bar and Books in Warsaw, with winners determined by registered summit delegates following a public nominations and voting process. The 2026 edition covered 21 categories spanning innovation, business performance, and individual leadership across the European iGaming sector.

Hyla’s win in the iGaming Leader of the Year category recognises his contribution to Wazdan’s commercial development and international expansion. His role has centred on growing the company’s operator network and extending its presence across regulated markets in Europe and beyond.

Earlier in 2026, Hyla had been shortlisted for CEE iGaming Leader of the Year at the GamingTECH CEE Awards 2026 and for Baltic & Nordics iGaming Leader of the Year at the Baltic & Nordics Gaming Awards 2026, underlining a pattern of individual recognition across multiple regional programmes this year.

Second consecutive EiGE win for Wazdan

The award adds to a recent record at the EiGE programme. Wazdan took the Best Mobile Gaming Provider title at the 2025 EiGE Awards, held at the European Gaming Congress in Warsaw in November 2025. The 2026 win shifts the recognition from a product category to an individual leadership award, reflecting Wazdan’s broader commercial trajectory alongside its game development output.

Andrzej Hyla, Chief Commercial Officer at Wazdan, said:

‘Receiving the iGaming Leader of the Year award is an important milestone in my journey with Wazdan. Over the years, we have expanded into new markets, built strong relationships with our partners, and continued to develop as a company. What makes this recognition particularly meaningful is the team behind these achievements — our growth has always been a collective effort.’
