Pokémon Officially Drops New 30th Anniversary Release October 23

People who are looking to get into the Pokémon Trading Card Game will have a chance to get some of the best competitive picks for the current meta, as part of a new 30th anniversary release that's launching on October 23.

The Pokémon Company has many products available for people who wish to experience the Pokémon TCG, with several mobile games and beginner-friendly sets that can teach fans the ropes. When it comes to the tabletop game, most of the beginner sets are good when facing each other, but wouldn't last long against a well-crafted competitive deck, especially ones that players have spent a lot of money on building.

Pokémon TCG: Deck Crafter’s Collection Launches October 23

The official Pokémon website has announced the Pokémon TCG: Deck Crafter's Collection, which is set to launch on October 23, 2026. The Deck Crafter's Collection is filled with cards that are a major asset in many competitive decks, giving players easy access to plenty of tools to use in matches.

The Pokémon TCG: Deck Crafter's Collection features 40 cards, one of which is Meowth ex from the Perfecr Order set. This version of Meowth ex is an amazing utility card, as when it's played, its Last-Ditch Catch Ability lets the player add a Supporter card from their deck to their hand, while its Tuck Tail move lets it be bounced back to the hand. Supporter cards are among the best in the Pokémon TCG, so being able to pull one when needed is incredibly useful, and may save the player at the last moment.

Competitive Staples Are Part Of The Pokémon TCG: Deck Crafter’s Collection

Alongside the Meowth ex, the Pokémon TCG: Deck Crafter's Collection features a variety of Supporter, Item, and Trainer cards, all of which are useful in meta decks. These include Lillie's Determination, which lets the player shuffle their hand into their deck and draw 6 cards; Dawn, which lets the player search for a Basic, Stage 1, and Stage 2 Pokémon, and Air Balloon, which reduces a Pokémon's Retreat cost by two.

The cards in Pokémon TCG: Deck Crafter's Collection are ideal for anyone wanting to step into the Pokémon TCG competitive scene. While they'll still need to work out the non-Meowth Pokémon they want to use, they'll have the rest of their deck sorted, with the human characters and gadgets supporting their tiny companions.
