Inazuma Eleven Victory Road Bond Links and Bond Stars

Bond Links in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road are connections on your team board that increase the Bond Power earned by passing between linked players. Bond Stars are a separate recruitment resource: you can get 5 by clearing each Route Unlock Battle for the first time in Chronicle Mode.

The names are easy to mix up, but they solve different problems. Bond Stars help you acquire players through the Player Universe. Bond Links help the players already in your squad combine more effectively on the pitch.

How do you get Bond Stars in Victory Road

Start with uncleared Route Unlock Battles in the Chronicle Competition Route. LEVEL5 added a guaranteed 5 Bond Stars for each first-time clear in its December 2025 update. The update also awarded the corresponding rewards for battles players had already cleared.

1. Open Chronicle Mode.
2. Enter the Chronicle Competition Route.
3. Select a Route Unlock Battle you have not cleared.
4. Complete the battle.
5. Collect the first-clear reward.
6. Return to Player Universe when you are ready to use your Bond Stars.

The guaranteed reward is for the first clear. Replaying the same completed battle does not earn another first-clear bundle. If your aim is to build an initial supply, progressing through uncleared route battles gives you a clear objective without depending on a random drop.

You can also earn Bond Stars through completed online Ranked and Lobby matches in Competition Mode, or as rewards from eligible Rare Drop and Hero Battles in Chronicle Mode. Those give you ways to keep earning after the initial route rewards. Ordinary offline Free Matches should not be confused with those activities, and a random Chronicle reward is not another guaranteed first-clear payment.

In Player Universe, 5 Bond Stars unlock a pack containing 12 character spirits. Choose the constellation associated with the characters you want before spending them. Player recruitment then uses those spirits to bring players into your collection.

Unlocking Heroes also involves obtaining the relevant Hero spirits. Spending Bond Stars does not guarantee that any individual pack contains the Hero you want, and it does not raise your team’s in-match Bond Power.

How does the Bond Link board work

Open your team’s Bond Link board from the Team Dock. Place the character cards you want to connect, then draw Bond Lines between the teammates who regularly exchange passes.

Linked players generate more Bond Power when passing to one another. That power contributes to your shot’s attack when you shoot, working alongside the shooter’s stats and Special Move. Check the Bond Power display beneath the Hyper Energy gauge to see what you have built during the match.

The board’s core limits are small enough to plan around.

The seven-line limit makes your passing pattern important. A line between two players who rarely exchange the ball contributes less to your usual attack than a link used throughout every possession.

How do you turn Bond Lines gold

Add a photo featuring the connected players to the board. Their line turns golden, increasing the Bond Power gained when they pass to each other to 3% before any additional passive effects.

1. Put the players you want to link together in a scene where you can photograph them.

2. Open the camera or Photo Mode.

3. Take a photo containing those players.

4. Return to the Bond Link board.

5. Attach the photo to the board.

6. Confirm that the intended connection has turned gold.

During supported match scenes, the right directional button opens the camera. You can also take photos around Kizuna Station and in Story Mode through the camera feature. The photo needs to include the players you are strengthening; a decorative picture of different teammates will not complete the connection you intended.

Aim for at least three golden connections that fit the way you actually move the ball. That is a practical starting point for a useful board, not a requirement that unlocks a separate bonus at exactly three lines.

Which players should you connect on the board

I like connecting my forwards and wide midfielders around the formations I use: 3-6-1 Hexa, 4-4-2 Diamond, and 5-4-1 Double Volante. My main striker sits at the center of that network so several teammates can feed him.

The same idea works with a different formation. Start with the player who receives the final pass, then connect the teammates who usually deliver it. Add useful links between those supporting players where the board has room.

Do not spend all seven connections on your biggest names simply because they are your favorites. If your attack moves through a central midfielder before reaching the winger, that midfielder belongs in the plan. Revisit the board after changing starters or moving someone into another position.

Your player attributes and chosen Hissatsu techniques still matter. Bond Power improves the attack you build; it does not replace a suitable shooter, a strong move, or a clear route to goal.

Are Bond Links the same as the Bond Team Build

No. The board establishes passing connections. The Bond Team Build and its passives can change how your team benefits from Bond Power, including effects on AT and DF and how much power you retain or recover.

These effects have changed through updates. The June 2026 balance notes describe a refund of 12.5% of spent Bond Power per Charge and changes to Bond-related passive scaling. Check the Team Bonuses descriptions for the effects equipped on your current team rather than treating the board’s 3% golden-link gain as the whole build.

Bond Transform is another distinct mechanic, a Hyper Move. It belongs alongside Keshin and Awakenings in your team’s wider toolkit. It is not a different name for drawing a line or attaching a photograph.

Why is a photo or Bond Link not working

First check that the players pictured are the ones connected, that the intended line is gold, and that you are actually passing between those teammates in the match. A board can look complete while its connections do not match your usual passing sequence.

Keep the game updated if the photograph itself appears blank or its indicator is missing. LEVEL5’s June update addressed black Photo Mode captures, white photos after reopening Bond Links, and missing star indicators on attached images. Those display issues are separate from running out of Bond Stars, because the recruitment resource does not power the board.
