Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is getting a substantial Persona crossover this week, with characters from Persona 3 Reload, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal all joining the sci-fi RPG shooter as part of the series’ 30th anniversary celebrations.

Level Infinite and SHIFTUP have now revealed the full details of the collaboration, which begins on August 13 and pulls together characters and themes from three different generations of Atlus’ hugely popular RPG series.

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Persona crossover brings characters from P3, P4 and P5

Leading the Persona 5 Royal contingent is Queen, otherwise known as Makoto Niijima. The Shujin Academy student council president and Phantom Thieves strategist will be joined by Persona 4 Golden’s Yukiko Amagi, a member of the Investigation Team and heir to the Amagi Inn.

Representing Persona 3 Reload is Aigis, the seventh-generation Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon developed by the Kirijo Group and a member of SEES. The android is one of the most recognisable characters from Persona 3 and, importantly for the purposes of a game like NIKKE, already comes equipped with rather more firepower than your average high-school student.

A new trailer released alongside the announcement shows the three characters making the jump into NIKKE’s world and gives players a first look at how the different Persona games have been incorporated into the event.

The crossover will go beyond simply adding new characters. Alternate costumes will be available for Makoto Niijima and Yukiko Amagi through a mixture of free unlocks and event passes, while an exclusive Phantom [Concept: Thief] costume will be offered through the outfit gacha.

SHIFTUP also says the event will lean heavily into the themes of all three Persona games. Persona 5 Royal’s Phantom Thieves, Persona 4 Golden’s Investigation Team and Persona 3 Reload’s Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad will all feature, bringing their respective alternate worlds, Shadows and supernatural problems along for the ride.

There is also a new mini-game called Midnight Phantom Runner, described as a fast-paced running game offering additional rewards throughout the collaboration.

It makes for an unusually wide-ranging Persona crossover. Rather than choosing one game, NIKKE is effectively treating the event as a celebration of the modern Persona trilogy, tying in nicely with the franchise’s 30th anniversary in 2026.

Persona originally debuted in Japan in 1996 with Revelations: Persona, although the three games represented here are responsible for much of the series’ enormous growth in popularity outside Japan.

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE launched globally in 2022 and has since been downloaded more than 45 million times. The free-to-play RPG shooter is available on PC, iOS and Android.

The Goddess of Victory: NIKKE x Persona collaboration begins on August 13, 2026.
